Meet the Eclipse Dragon Singing Bowl. A hand-painted special edition, 9 inch diameter bell bronze singing bowl.

The Eclipse Dragon is an approximately 9-inch bell-bronze singing bowl, individually hand-painted with intricate gold artwork against a dark surface.

A bowl to play every day, and a piece of art worth leaving out where you can enjoy it.

At the center of the design, a dark circle is surrounded by a brilliant golden corona.

Fine, irregular brushstrokes reach outward like rays of sunlight breaking around the moon.

The dragon’s face turns toward the eclipse, with curling whiskers, swept-back horns, and an open mouth rendered in delicate gold lines.

Its body winds around the circumference of the bowl, covered in individually painted scales. Long spines follow its curves, while clawed feet reach into the spaces between. Small stars, a crescent moon, and scattered points of gold fill the dark sky around it.

The artwork continues down toward the base. Turn the bowl in your hands and you’ll find details you couldn’t see from the front: another curve of the dragon’s body, a small celestial ornament, the fine pattern of scales following the shape of the bronze. An exposed, polished rim frames the painting above.

Each bowl is painted individually, through a multi-step process. It's not watercolor on paint. It's a fine tuned process that we've developed to: protect the bowl's sound from being impacted by the paint, and to protect the paint from easily being removed. 

Each Eclipse Dragon arrives with a hardwood rim-playing striker, a soft green mallet decorated with an embroidered lotus, and a white-and-gold cushion to rest it on.
