26 Inch Maker's Mark Gong
26 Inch Makers Mark Gong: handmade bronze from Nepal. A temple style gong, made from bronze that will hold a thick, warm-bronze sonic energy.
Playing this gong, you'll note low tones under 60hz in frequency, rumbling, slow blooming rather than immedaite full on crash attack. This is a Gong that goes with your singing bowls.
This is the full set-up, and you'll receive a Gong, a "C-stand" and a playing mallet.
Played with a soft mallet it builds slowly and opens to a long decay, with shimmer that comes from close partial pairs beating against each other roughly every second or two.
The character opens warm at the strike and brightens as the sustain opens.
Playing will favor a rolled crescendo and it rewards a single clean strike. It sounds like a different instrument depending on how you choose to play it.
Ships from Nepal. Large instrument, packed for safe transit and we take care that it arrives to you safely!
