This is a perfect fifth set of bowls, curated specifically by The Ohm Store team to create a harmonious pair, meant to be played together to amplify their impact. Each Bowl is hand-hammered in Kathmandu, Nepal and made from the revered bell bronze.
A perfect fifth sounds so harmonious together; perfect fifth interval refers to the relationship between two musical notes with frequencies in a specific ratio: 3:2.
Our brains have evolved to appreciate sounds that are harmonious and well-structured. When we hear a perfect fifth, the simple mathematical relationship between the frequencies of the two notes creates a sense of balance and stability
Bowl 1: 7.0 inch F# in the 4th, +6 cents. 371 hertz. PURE tone.
Bowl 2: 7.0 inch B in the 3rd, +12 cents. 248 hertz. .
You will receive these exact bowls; no pair exactly alike it will ever exist. The nature of these hand-hammered singing bowls is that each is 100% unique, thus each produces a one-of-a-kind sound, unmatched in the world.

Wondering what “cents” means? For each musical note there are 100 total cents, 50 below the perfect note and 50 above. Measuring the cents allows much more precision for processionals adding on to existing sets. Anything +/- 10 cents is considered a perfect pitch note.
A singing bowl is not manually “tuned” to a specific musical note. Our craftsmen are men of deep skill, and tradition who make bell-metal bronze singing bowls by hand, in the ancient way.
Bell metal bronze is a specific proportion of copper to tin, known for its resonant properties (77% copper and 23% tin)
The tuning of a bowl is a process of discovery and measurement after the fact – ensuring that your singing bowl is the only one like it that will ever exist.
All of our tuning is based on A4 440hz.
In the sound recording, you will first hear the bowl struck with a red felt mallet, followed by the bowl being played around the rim with a suede wrapped mallet.
