The Future of
Sound Healing

Better questions reveal new information. So we've invited six of our closest collaborators — musicians, educators, facilitators, makers and thinkers — to spend a day exploring one larger question together.

This isn't a day of formal lectures. It's a series of thoughtful conversations with people who have spent years listening, experimenting, teaching, and making. We're bringing people together to explore, in a usually closed-door session — what is the future of sound healing?

The Growing Impact Of Therapeutic and Relaxational Sound Therapy

Sound Therapy is entering a new chapter. The reach and accessibility of it is growing.

More people are experiencing sound baths than ever before. More practitioners are entering the field. Instruments are more widely available. Technology is changing how sound gets shared.

The conversation about what it means to work with sound is getting deeper, as we can and must consider how we continue to expand the core purpose of this. Positive impact on ourselves as facilitators, and being of service to those we care deeply for.

What comes next?

How do we honor and appreciate "what is," while challenging ourselves to shape deeper, ethically grounded and skillful service to those who depend on us for what we do?

The world has so much space for current facilitators to deepen their own skill sets, and for people who feel called to this to enter the field with brighter, more informed understandings than when we began more than a decade ago.

We're calling on ourselves — and you — to ask deeper, better questions.

Better questions reveal new information, unleash progress and creativity, and allow Sound to make the real impact that's possible.

Six Voices. Six Perspectives.

One conversation about what comes next

Each guest takes a different part of the future of sound healing. This isn't a day of formal lectures — it's six conversations, and we're asking each of them the questions they don't usually get asked.

How musicianship, meditation, and deep listening can transform sound into a powerful human experience.

Jonathan AdamsSonic Yogi

The Future of Sacred Sound: Beyond the Instruments

As the field of sound continues to grow, what will set truly impactful practitioners apart? Lynne Stukart explores what the next chapter of sacred sound will ask of us: deeper listening, skillful and trauma-aware facilitation, artistic integrity, ethical practice, and the ability to create experiences rooted in safety, presence, and genuine care. She also shares how emerging practitioners can find their own place in this evolving field and build work that is both meaningful and sustainable.

Who Is This For?

The curious. The committed. The already facilitating.

Perhaps you've facilitated hundreds of sound baths. Perhaps you just bought your first singing bowl. Perhaps you've never played one.

You may be a musician. A yoga teacher. A therapist. An energy practitioner. An educator. Retired and open to a new way of being. Or simply someone who experienced singing bowls and sound once and hasn't stopped thinking about it since.

The Sound Summit isn't designed around one "exact" definition of a sound practitioner, because the future will contain multitudes.

You're curious

There was a watershed moment in your life that involved a singing bowl or sound session. You didn't know the feeling it would give you, but it gave you something. Or maybe your first bowl arrived last month and while you love it, you'd like to learn much more about it.

You're facilitating

You're holding sessions already, having taken a course or certification or several. You want to become even more confident in the room, and you want this to be something you can actually earn a living doing.

You're teaching or making

You train practitioners, build instruments, record sound, or run this as a business. You're less interested in what sound does than in where the whole field is headed and who decides.

More approaches. More questions. More experimentation. More education. More listening. And more people willing to explore what sound can become.

Meet Your Presenters

Who's in the room

A conservatory percussionist. A mallet maker out of Juilliard. A composer who studied with John Cage. Between them, several decades of actually doing this.

Jonathan Adams, Sonic Yogi

Jonathan Adams

Sonic Yogi · Meditation & Entrainment

Jonathan came to sound therapy through his own extreme anxiety, then spent years exploring what frequency could do for relaxation and meditation. He has led talks and workshops at TEDx and beyond, and his recordings reach listeners on Spotify, Insight Timer and SoundCloud. Tricycle: The Buddhist Review described his work as both deeply relaxing and energizing.

Lynne Stukart

Lynne Stukart

Facilitation & Sustainable Practice

Lynne Stukart is an award-winning professional musician, university professor, Certified Therapeutic Sound Practitioner, and Performing Artist for Altus Flutes. She has performed on stages in eight countries and holds degrees in music and business. Drawing on decades of experience in performance, education, and the healing arts, Lynne explores how practitioners can create spaces that are genuinely safe, deeply caring, and transformative while building a sound practice designed to last.

Bob Frye

Bob Frye

Audio, Recording & The Online Room

Bob Frye is a certified Sound Bath practitioner and lifelong musician — a classically trained organist, improvising jazz pianist, synthesist, and composer. His musical education continued with graduate studies in Composition and Electronic Music at UCSD with John Cage, Pauline Oliveros and Roger Reynolds. Bob has also enjoyed a career with professional audio recording and music production technologies. This experience informs his recording of Singing Bowls and Gongs, allowing him to fully capture their unique individual sounds with a clarity and presence unusual to the recorded Sound Bath experience.

Dr. Sandra Sluberski

Dr. Sandra Sluberski

Voice, Mantra & Vocal Technique

Dr. Sandra is a treasure. Holding a PhD in vocal performance and having taught in a university setting for 30 years, she brings a breadth of understanding and a deep well of never-ending curiosity. Her work sits at the intersection of trained voice and therapeutic sound: breath control, vocal production, and the strange fact that the one instrument every practitioner already owns is the one most of them never use. Sandra is the teacher we all wish we'd had in university, and a wellspring of knowledge and positive vibrations.

Benjamin Irons

Benjamin Irons

Gong Technique & Vibrational Therapy

A conservatory-trained percussionist who leads The Ohm Store's Gong School. Ben knows the history, the construction and the physics of these instruments, and he holds sound work to the standard he was trained under — which is a higher one than this field is used to.

Dinesh Joseph

Dinesh Joseph

Strikers, Mallets & The Tools of Sound

Dinesh started Dragonfly Percussion in a back-hallway workshop at Juilliard in 2000. He is a percussionist with the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra, and in 2014 he and his wife Jeannine revived Dragonfly to serve the sound community. Almost every serious practitioner has held something he made.

Why It's Free

A note from Frank

Conversations at this level normally happen inside Sound School or Encore, where we ask deeper questions of our teachers to get to the root of things that go beyond what we can learn in a short internet video.

We need these good ideas and great explanations to circulate freely.

— Frank Mocerino, The Ohm Store

One more thing. At a few unannounced moments during the live event we'll be giving real instruments to people in the room with us — chosen at random from whoever is actually there.
